Family BBQ Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
A killer family recipe for the grill.
Serves: 4–6
Ingredients
- 3 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Directions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat, approximately 375°F.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika and chili powder.
- In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard.
- Grill the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until nicely marked.
- Brush the chicken with the sauce and continue grilling for 3–4 minutes per side, turning and basting until the chicken is sticky, caramelized and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Make extra sauce for the table and keep the heat moderate so the sugars caramelize without burning.
